Scalloped border.

An easy way of making a scalloped border with PSP X.

Start with a new Image 900 x 200, transp, resolution 200, RGB 8bit/channel.

Save as Scalloped border.pspimage

Choose a color from your Color Palette with your Dropper Tool.

The same color on both Fore- and Background.

Preset Shape.

Settings like this.

Draw a line 900 x 100. Look at the bottom of your screen, there you will find the measurements.

If you can't see it, go to View, Toolbars. Make a check for Status and it will be visable.

This is your rectangle now. I have resized the image to 50 % for viewing purpose.

Effects, Distortion Effects, Wave. Settings like this.

On the same layer and with the same color, make another rectangle ontop of the scalloped one.
Use Preset Shapes Rectangle. Make sure you don't cover the scalloped edges.

This is how it looks now.

Use Selection Tool, Rectangle to make the scalloped edges even. Make sure Antialias is NOT checked.

Make a selection like I did.

Selections, Crop to Selections. Save.

That's all. I hope you liked this tutorial.

Now you can use the edges in different projects.
Just Duplicate, Mirror and Flip and whatever you'll need.

If you want to change color of the border, use Adjuste, Hue and Saturation, Colorize.
You can also use Drop Shadow on the frame to get a 3-D effect.
